We are going to have a foxhunt on Sunday November 6th at 3pm!
What: Foxhunt, someone will hide the fox somewhere in hamilton county. we will then split into teams and search for the fox. We may do some competition and have the shortest distance traveled and the fastest time be categories for success.
When: November 6th 2022, 3pm - ~5pm
Where: we will start in a central area of Hamilton County, the fox will be located somewhere in the county, its your job to find it :).

*I will have more details on a starting location soon, I need to do some more topographic survey work to pick a good starting point for everyone.
Equipment: someone in your team needs a directional antenna, a radio (one to listen to the fox and another on the repeater for hints), some way to take a bearing, (compass, phone, etc.) some way to know your location (gps, phone, sextant, etc.), someway to plot your course (paper map, google maps, etc.)
I will provide a custom google earth template you can use if you want that has a bunch of helpful layers for the hunt (locations of parks, starting locations, elevations, county boundary, etc.)
